Patras is the other big ferry gateway from Italy, served from Ancona, Bari, Venice and (seasonally) Brindisi. It sits further south than Igoumenitsa, so the crossing is longer but the drive to Lefkada is only a little more. A good pick if the Patras schedule or fare fits your trip better.
