Agios Nikitas
Pedestrian village set in the hills of the west coast: intimate, romantic, close to the top beaches.
Agios Nikitas is the only true seaside village on the west coast, set among pine-clad hills and gathered around a lane that runs down to a small beach. Cars stay out of the centre, which gives it an intimate, quiet feel of small charming hotels, traditional guesthouses and seafront fish tavernas. It is the ideal base for couples and for anyone who wants to be a step away from some of the island's finest beaches, such as Mylos (reachable on foot or by boat), Kathisma and Pefkoulia. One note: because of the shape of the bay, the sunset is not visible from the village itself, but a short move sorts that out.
